is professor and head at the Centre for Biotechnology and Chairman, Boards of Studies at Acharya Nagarjuna University. Prof. Rao has published more than 80 research papers in various national and international journals and has one patent and edited/ authored 20 books. Prof. Rao worked as a visiting Scientist at Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, USA. He visited CSIRO and University of Adelaide, Australia and University of Singapore and Pokhra University, Nepal as a visiting faculty. He has guided more than 25 students for M.Phil. and 15 Ph.D. students. Prof. Rao is the founder General Secretary of Association of Biotechnology and Pharmacy and Editor for Current Trends in Biotechnology and Pharmacy. He is an editorial board member for many national and international research journal and member of several scientific and professional organizations.
