S.N. Manjunatha did his MBBS from Mysore Medical College and secured first rank in MD, Community Medicine. He did his Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Preventive and Social Medicine; Diploma in Public Health Administration (DPHA) from Indian Institute of Public Health Administration from Chennai; Certificate Course in Health and Family Welfare Management from National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW), New Delhi; Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Law and Ethics from National Law School of India University, Bangalore. He served as a Medical Officer in a PHC in Mysore district, Karnataka for seven years. He is the recipient of Young Scientist Award for the year 2007 from the Karnataka Association of Community Health. At present he is Assistant Professor, Department of Community Medicine, Mysore Medical College.
