She has guided many PhD as well as postgraduate research projects and has authored numerous research papers. She has a patent for development of a novel process for production of biopharmaceuticals. She has many other scientific works such as a textbook on Bioanalytical Techniques, course content developed for ePG Pathshaala, scientific blogs as well as articles in technical magazines. Dr. Shilpa has a graduate degree in Pharmacy from University Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Nagpur University and MSc (Tech) in Bioprocess Technology from Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai. She obtained her PhD degree from Indian Institute of Technology in the field of Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology. She works in the field of enzyme technology and tissue culture technology.
