Applied Chemistry-I is as per the revised syllabus of Mumbai University which is common to all the engineering branches. The book is organised in such a way that the students can acquire the knowledge of applications of chemistry in Engineering and Technology. Each chapter has been dealt with in sufficient detail with ample number of numerical problems and illustrations wherever required. Sufficient number of solved problems with quite a large number of university questions have also been provided.
V.M. Balsaraf :- Visiting Professor of Mumbai University, obtained his Ph.D. in 1986 from the University of Mumbai. He has published many research papers in national and international journals and attended various conferences of Indian chemical Society in India. He has published twelve books on Applied Chemistry and religious matters. He has thirty years of teaching experience. He has developed research and testing unit in Datta Meghe college of Engg. Airoli, Navi Mumbai with the civil Engoneering. Department. His field of research is use of solar energy to produce hydrogen fuel, synthesis of biodiesel and search of Ayurvedic cure of diabetes, blood pressure etc.A.V. Pawar :- is Lecturer in Applied Science Department at MGM's College of Engineering and Technology, Navi Mumbai. She has fourteen (14) years of teaching experience. She obtained M.Sc. from Jiwaji University, Gwaliar. Her area of teaching is Inorganic and Physical Chemistry.P.A. Mane :- is Head of Applied Science Department at MGM's College of Engineering and Technology, Navi Mumbai. She received Gold Medal in M.Sc. from Jiwaji University, Gwalior. She has twenty years of teaching experience. Her area of Teaching is Organic Chemistry.
