S.N. Alam :- S. N. Alam is Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, Orissa. He received his B.Tech. in 1997 from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and his M.S. in Photonics and Electronic Materials in the year 2001 from the Chemical and Nuclear Engineering Department of the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, USA. He obtained his Ph.D. in the year 2010 in the area of Tungsten Heavy Alloys Developed by Mechanical Alloying Route in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He has also taught at BITS-Pilani. He has taught courses like Composite Materials, Physics of Materials, Metallography and Heat Treatment Laboratory, Computational Techniques in Material Science Laboratory, Materials Technology and Theory of Elasticity and Plasticity. S.S. Alam :- Syed Samsul Alam is Vice-Chancellor of Aliah University, Kolkata. After obtaining his Ph.D. degree from IIT Kharagpur, he joined the Faculty of IIT Kharagpur in the Department of Mathematics and later became Professor and Head of the Department of Mathematics. During his teaching and research career, spanning about 35 years, he has published more than 70 research articles in various international and national journals of repute. He has guided several research scholars leading to Ph.D. degree in the areas of Statistics, Operations Research, and Computer Applications. He has also five books to his credit.
