“This seminal project will fundamentally change the way that we think about number theory (in relation to simpleness and complicatedness in arithmetic) from the combined perspectives of the mind, nature, society, and culture, with enormous implications for the human future and what I originally called its post-human fate.”—Author
This is a milestone book on number theory, in which the author exposes the reader to the importance of number theory, the historical debates and controversies surrounding it, its diverse aspects and so on; then selectively picks up the dialectic relationship between simpleness and complicatedness; and goes on to synthesize an entirely new body of knowledge which is unheard of today—The Transmutative Theory of Numbers (TTTN). Indeed this work can be called as “beyond simpleness and complicatedness” which according to the author beholds the future of number theory.
This brand new TTTN comprises forty-four major theses, encompassing the broad relations to method, structure, process, agency and outcome. The author has dissected the dialectic contexts of simpleness and complicatedness from the perspectives of the mind, nature, society and culture, which pave the way for further enquiry and the need to transcend them, finally leading to the eventual postulation of the TTTN theses.
With the approach, focus and the subject matter per se, this book will attract the inquisitive minds of those who have interest in areas as diverse as history, logic, pure mathematics, applied mathematics, mathematical logic, algebra, geometry, analysis, computer science, analytic number theory, physics, engineering, natural science, philosophy of mathematics, mathematical cognition, algebraic number theory, probabilistic number theory, arithmetic combinatorics, ethnomathematics, and so on.

  • Gives a cogent summary of the background of Number Theory and its diverse aspects.
  • Synthesizes the new The Transmutative Theory of Numbers.
  • Explores the dialectic contexts of Simpleness and Complicatedness from the combined view-points of mind, nature, society and culture.
  • Propounds 44 theses on the Future of Number Theory, categorized according to their relation to method, structure, process, agency and outcome.

Part Four: Conclusion
4. Conclusion—The Future of Number Theory

Peter Baofu :- Peter Baofu is the author of 78 new theories in 76 books (as of early 2015), all of which provide a visionary challenge to conventional wisdom in all fields of knowledge (i.e., the social sciences, the formal sciences, the natural sciences, and the humanities), with the aim for a unified theory of everything -- together with numerous visions of the mind, nature, society, and culture in future history. As a polymath, he is known for his pioneering works in the areas of formal sciences, social sciences, natural sciences, and the humanities. Dr. Baofu earned an entry into the list of “prominent and emerging writers” in Contemporary Authors (2005) and another honorary entry in The Writers Directory (2007)—and was also interviewed on television and in newspapers about his original ideas. He was a U.S. Fulbright Scholar in the Far East and has taught as a Professor at different universities in Western Europe, the Caucasus, the Middle East, the Balkans, Central Asia, South Asia, North America, and Southeast Asia. He received more than 5 academic degrees, including a Ph.D. from the world-renowned M.I.T., and was a summa cum laude graduate.
